Washington County Wants Your Input on Transit Before the September 13 Deadline

Washington County is running a transit development survey through September 13, gathering input from Beaverton-area residents on how local bus and transit service should evolve going forward. It's a timely ask: TriMet just enacted its biggest service cuts in years across the region, and county-level planning is one of the few levers residents have to influence what transit looks like closer to home going forward.

Separately, the county is finalizing a Strategic Investment Program (SIP) agreement that officials say is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the area, part of an ongoing push to balance new development with the fees that fund local services.

Neither item requires much of residents beyond a few minutes of their time — the transit survey is online and takes most people under ten minutes to complete. For anyone frustrated by the recent TriMet cuts and looking for somewhere to actually direct that feedback, this is it.
